Anyway, this person is a blogwatcher, a blogexpert, a blog... critic? He has trouble reading my site because of the white type on black background. Now, I get annoyed when theatre companies make their shows hard to watch with stupid stagecraft choices, and then act like those things aren't important, so I think I'd better pay attention. On the other hand... yeargh. I dislike the other blogspot templates, don't have the skills or time to make my own, and don't want to have to set up the links and ads again.
So here's my tipping point. If just one other commenter says the white on black is a bad idea, out it goes. I want to be flexible, but not a reed in the wind.

Hmmm - actually, I used to be in advertising and the Direct Media Association of America said white on black type is the hardest kind of type for the eye to read. Of course they also had a lot of hookie charts about where the eye went first on the page and what your favorite flavor of pop-tart was supposed to be. So they may be full of it. Or maybe not...
i read this blog pretty regularly, but i get it through an RSS reader so the white-on-black type is kind of irrelevant. after looking at the site itself, i do think it's a little trickier (especially the lighter typefaces), but as long as the reviews are good and fun to read, i don't think it matters much.
and my favorite pop-tart flavor is strawberry with icing. what's it supposed to be?
That's mine too! Though I personally think it's supposed to be Apple Frosted. I still burn inside that they took it away. They better watch out.
White-on-black is fine. Especially for those of us who were brought up on DOS-based text adventures.
Some websites use things like red or navy blue on black. This should really be considered a dreadful breach of netiquette.
